Favourite bike lanes around the world

There’s nothing quite like getting on a newly paved bike lane and being able to ride without fear of a pothole. However, there are bike lanes around the world that have integrated a whole new standard: beauty and function. Here are few of the ones we love.

  1. As Canadians, our favourite bike lane is not the fanciest or prettiest but it is definitely the most practical. The heated bike lanes in The Netherlands are just the summum of what bike lanes could be. The heat generated melts the snow and ice making the lanes much safer in winter. We just can’t wait until this technology finds it’s way back to us!

  2. Lachine Canal bike path in Montreal has one of the best views we’ve seen. Cafés, restaurants as well as the historic Atwater Market all run along the path and you can ride to Old Montreal making it a perfect way to visit the city. You can also hire a swan pedal boat when you get tired of pedalling on land.

  3. Starry night bike lane in Eindhoven is another one of our favourites. Not only does it have solar panels embedded in it which generates heat for residents, it also lights up at night which would make our long winters a little more colourful.

  4. Vancouver has a many great bike lanes to pick from but it is hard to beat a ride through Stanley Park. With restaurants, historic sites and beaches and trails along the Seawall as well as through the park, it’s easy to spend a whole day here with your bike.

  5. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the newly minted bike lanes along Bloor, University and the Danforth. Making these busy streets safer for cyclists has been a game changer in making our rides more pleasurable (and safer!).

We've expanded to Parkdale!

As you may already know, the last couple of months have been busy. With the weather getting warmer and the lockdown extended, we seem to all be looking for a way to get outside, get some exercise and reconnect with the city.

To keep up with the assembly, repairs and maintenance of our ebike flet, we are growing into a second space at Queen and Dufferin in Parkdale this week. We love this new location as it brings us to the west side of Toronto which we think is a great complement to our east side, Cabbagetown, location.

We’ve also extended our test rides to include our Queen & Dufferin location this month, so now you’re able to visit us at whichever location is the most convenient for you. Just make sure you reach out to us by email beforehand so we can schedule in a time for you to come visit and test ride our electric bikes.  Both locations will have a selection of models, such as the Model G, Q and M, available for test rides. We are spacing out the test rides over the day to make sure we are all staying safe.

Again, thanks to all of our subscribers for making this growth possible. We are very excited to keep on growing and to serve as many Torontonians as we can and share with you all the joy of riding an e-bike.

Looking forward to seeing you at our new location for a test ride!

We’re out of the Model Q, but more are coming soon!

With the warmer temperatures having settled in this April, we have seen an uptick in new subscribers and currently all our Model Q’s have been lent out. We still have a few Model G and Model M available for personal use. We are working hard to get more ebikes this season and are expecting a shipment of Model Q this June.

In the meantime, we have created a waitlist that you can join to let us know your interest in having a Model Q and we will reach out to you as soon as more ebikes become available. Though all the ebikes are out with subscribers, there is some fluctuation every week where ebikes are returned. This is why we created two separate waitlists.

One includes a refundable payment of $100 which guarantees that you will get the next available ebike. As soon as a Model Q is returned to us, we will reach out to you so you can start your subscription right away. We will keep your ebike on hold for a week until you pick it up or we deliver it to you.

We also have a waitlist that only requires your email address and we will send you updates on when we get new shipments of the Model Q. After you get the email, hurry to our website to sign up for a Model Q!
